The First Justice Ajay Kumar Tripathi Memorial Essay Competition, 2023, was held in Patna, Bihar, bringing together students and young thinkers to reflect on the enduring spirit of the Indian Constitution. Centered on “Our Constitution and the Idea of India Therein”, the competition drew insightful entries from across the country. The competition honoured the legacy of Justice Ajay Kumar Tripathi – his belief in constitutional morality, access to justice, and the transformative potential of law.
Participants explored the Constitution not merely as a legal document, but as a living promise of dignity, equity, and democratic values. The event marked a significant step towards encouraging constitutional literacy and nurturing the next generation of thoughtful, responsible citizens.
Celebrating Young Legal Minds, the Memorial Essay Competition’s winners were announced at the Second Justice Ajay Kumar Tripathi Memorial Lecture. Hobble Mr. Justice Jyoti Saran, Former Judge, Patna High Court praised the depth of research and originality, noting exceptional work on themes like women’s empowerment.
