Samvaad 2.0 convened by Justice Ajay Kumar Tripathi Foundation makes Sustainable Development a constitutional imperative in the Idea of India. Saturday evening, 15 November 2025, the Justice Ajay Kumar Tripathi Foundation hosted it’s fourth annual event, and the second edition of Samvaad, at the India International Centre, New Delhi.
Across a deeply reflective conversation, the panel explored how environmental protection in India has become a constitutional question, a governance challenge, and fundamentally, a struggle over justice, resources, and dignity.
Key themes that resonated:
🌱 Environmental protection as an extension of Fundamental Rights,
⚖️ Judicial intervention in the face of governance failure,
🏙️ Sustainability as a class struggle, not an elite discourse,
👥 The constitutional necessity of participatory decision-making,
🌿 The need to centre the voices of those most affected by development.
A heartfelt thank you to our esteemed panellists, moderator, colleagues and friends from the legal and non-legal fraternity, and the family, supporters, and well-wishers who joined us – both in person and virtually.
The Foundation will hereinafter remain committed to advancing meaningful conversations on justice, sustainability, and intergenerational equity.
Samvaad continues to be our space to ask the relevant questions and imagine better answers.
